Popularity

Hey again,
Unfortunately I have been unable to write for a while due to a major computer crash. Well, I'm back and I've got a bunch of stuff on my mind, but since it's one topic per day I'll start with popularity. I am by no means popular. I look in on the popular people. They seem so vunerable. Most of their friends are totally fake. No one really likes them but every one wants to be them. This is especially common in girls. Their image is often more important than themselves. They don't even realize that boys don't really like them when they try to be popular. From my research and experiences (research being several psychology books) boys like the girl that thinks for herself. Not a stuck-up but a true to herself person. I also know from experience that being at the bottom of the ladder can be awful but when you're at the top, the bottom looks so much safer. Why not lay the ladder on the ground and sit on it? Then everyone is right at the same level as everyone else. I realize that this will never happen but I don't see why we can't try.
